Award: The Blog of Distinction
I didn't wake up this morning and think, today I'll get an award ... but I did. What a way to start out the week. My head will be so inflated at work tomorrow that my boss will probably send me out to run errands all day.
So what is "The Blog of Distinction Award"?
Apparently this prestigious award was created by Working Mum on the Verge to honor blogs that make you, "think, laugh, cry or sigh." The only rule is you should pass it to another 5 blogs.
And I have to pass this honor to 5 other blogs ... geesh why not make it really hard, I read so many blogs and most of 'em I don't even comment on much-my God I'm a lurker. I do enjoy them though and when you like something you're supposed to acknowledge it. So here goes ...
The Blog of Distinction is being passed onto the following 5 achievers:
1. Working Mum on the Verge - I haven't read this blog until today but she's good and she is the creator of this award so she deserves to be recognized time and time again. Thank you and kudos back to you!
2. Following My Catracho - I read Jennifer's blog all the time and the thought that ALWAYS crosses my mind is how does she do it. I still don't know but she does and she's good at it. Plus she's the one who passed this honorable award to me ... she has 7 kids! I think, I laugh, I cry and I sigh. Sometimes all at the same time :)
3. LaGringa's Blogicito - I read this blog because this Gringa really makes me think sometimes. I wonder if she carries her camera on her hip everyday because her posts are so vivid ... she doesn't miss a beat. And anyone thinking of living in Honduras has to read her blog.
4. RiverGirl - I can't forget how I giggle I almost every time I sneak over to see how this Gringa's life in Cancun is going. I find myself on the same brain wave with her and the style in which she describes her days is refreshing.
5. Tips for New Bloggers - Last but not least, I probably could not blog without this website. (And you always have to thank the ones that made it all possible.) This site is so cool because no matter what you need to know, it's all there, it's easy to understand, and it's all true!
Whew! That was really hard.
I've enjoyed my 5 minutes in the spotlight and now it's time to pass it on. I hope that the new recipients will be just as glad as I was to get it and thanks to Jennifer for passing it to me! :)

I haven't heard from you lately and didn't even know you were still reading. I know -- who am I to talk? I'm so hopelessly behind on my blog reading.
Your comment about the camera on the hip was so funny because just yesterday I was thinking that I should wear it around my neck. I miss so many good shots -- like a hen eating yogurt out of a bowl while she held off 5 chihuahuas who really wanted that yogurt.
I really appreciate you selecting the Blogicito! And I appreciate the tip about "Tips for Bloggers." I checked it out and it looks like great information.

Hey Gringa ... you really don't wear that camera? lol You could've fooled me. I keep telling myself that I'm gonna carry my camera around with me but I don't.
And don't worry about being hopelessly behind; me too. When I do get the down time though I usually read through everything I've missed.
It's just not the same though.
Well keep on posting that great stuff: I love the conspiracy and cultural differences of Honduras, your everyday happenings, and things that make me say hmmmm.
